In the fast-changing and fiercely competitive compact electric vehicle market, Renault is giving Megane E-Tech electric increased edge with upgrades in four key areas:
- even more dynamic design
- enhanced electrical know-how
- enriched and useful technology
- a lean line-up, generously equipped across all trim levels
This approach reflects a key market trend: more than two in three buyers of Megane E-Tech electric are new to the world of electric vehicles. In order to support this transition, Renault has developed a vehicle that is easy to use, efficient and enjoyable to drive every day and also for longer journeys.
With its revamped design, upgraded high-tech environment and enhanced electric performance, New Megane E-Tech electric is out to consolidate its position in the compact EV segment.
Renault Group has made a commitment to build Megane E-Tech electric in Europe, at the ElectriCity industrial hub. The vehicle and its battery, whose cells are manufactured in Europe, will be assembled at the Douai plant in northern France, while the motor will be manufactured at the Cléon plant in Normandy.

A design building on the DNA of Megane E‑Tech electric
Alongside these changes, New Megane E‑Tech electric maintains the features that are part of its success:
- a generous wheelbase with well-balanced proportions
- large 19- or 20-inch wheels
- underbody protection and distinctive wheel arches
- a sloping roofline and high waistline
- flush door handles
All these features give it a strong identity, now further underlined by a more expressive and even more assertive design.
“We have enhanced the perceived width and on-road stance of new Renault Megane E-Tech electric to give it greater presence. Its sporty, modern styling gives it an appeal that echoes its inherent dynamic qualities.”
Laurens VAN DEN ACKER, Chief Design Officer, Renault Group
Techno and Esprit Alpine: two expressions of Megane
The Renault Megane E-Tech electric range has been restructured to make it clearer and easier to read. It now comprises two complementary trim levels, Techno and Esprit Alpine, each with its own positioning.
The Techno trim flaunts a dynamic exterior look with a body-coloured front bumper trim and new 19-inch alloy wheels. Twenty-inch wheels are available as an option to further enhance its on-road presence.
As the high-spec trim, Esprit Alpine gains an even more exclusive presentation. Main characteristics include the specific 20-inch alloy wheels and distinctive Esprit Alpine features.
Megane E-Tech electric is available in seven body colours, including a new Satin Blue Slate, with optional two-tone configurations featuring a black or schist grey roof.
A stylish interior with a more sophisticated look
On the Techno trim, the dashboard gains a TEP finish, improving the overall level of perceived quality. Power seats in light grey or titanium black TEP are also available as an option, complemented by a specific trim on the door panels and dashboard in wood or a grey patterned finish.
The Esprit Alpine trim gains updated interior styling, with a new door panel trim in a spectral grey finish going from dark grey to blue, underlining this version’s sporty and sophisticated character.
The LED mood lighting helps to stage the cockpit ambience and convey a sense of perceived quality. It adapts to conditions of use and can also be customised to create an ambience reflecting the driver’s preferences.
