I’m someone that enjoys playing multiple classes I play monk, ret , DH Warrior, lock, mage and dk… and I cannot help but notice what AWFUL state the playstyle/ gameplay feel of Frost currently feels like when compared to how fluid the other melee dps in the game play.
There is no way that blizzard developers play multiple classes because if they did they would notice the inconsistency in gameplay feel right away. Right now Frost feels extremely clunky and just flat out not fun to play, the entire spec is based around all awful RNG procs that when they dont go off sometimes the tank out dps you in damage (ive read other threads about this below). I honestly care less about the numbers though if the spec at least just felt fun the way that ret, monk, DH or warrior feel. These classes the gameplay loop feels fluid and like it all fits together, when i switch to my frost DK the entire experience just feels clunky and not enjoyable at all.
There is a couple of things that need to be either completely scrapped or at least changed so it feels more modern or fluid, killing machine is an outdated system that is holding this spec back, Rime/Howling blast procs are now a complete joke to press the button literally does nothing, this is sad because back in the day this button felt rewarding to proc, it was one of the biggest damage abilities Frost DK had, now it hits for like 200k when i have most of my abilities critting in the millions. The rune system cannot be RNG based, i cant think of any other spec that i play where the resource management is inconsistent like this also.
Please Blizzard consider giving Frost an entire overhaul/ rework like Ret got, it is pathetic that this spec plays this way when compared to your other current melee dps specs. At the very least give us some sign that something is in the works cooking because as the days go by I am more inclined to just flat out delete/quit playing my DK.
